JEE MAIN 2018 Preparation Tips

  • First of all, you should solve all previous years papers. ( Get previous years papers here )  .
  • The main and initial step is to refer to the complete syllabus for JEE to begin the preparations.
  • Find out what exactly you are supposed to study, and how to study for Exam comes next. Always study the syllabus of JEE exam which will help you to understand what they might ask in JEE exam paper.
  • Always begin with the topics that are comfortable and easier for you to start, so that can crack the most of these easy scoring section. Try to give allotted time for each subject and focus on one topic at a time, proper planning gives you complete output.
  • You have to memorise all the formulas as you study at once, the speed of solving problem plays the main role in JEE exam.
  • The main tips in JEE are time management.The student who can solve questions quickly and accurately are those who can crack the exam, you should set proper time for all subjects because without time setting you are just wasting your time.
  • Test yourself before exam much time as a trial this trick can help you lot in your JEE Exam.
  • Preparation should be topic wise, first complete one subject then start another, as you complete old topics start revising it, till you are perfect in those topics.
  • You must always set a time for each question, spend that set time accordingly and try to spend only one minute per question, in the beginning, see to that you do not to waste much time on questions at the starting.
  • Study with proper time management get you success in an easy way. To have an idea of understanding of topics, refer to the JEE exam questions blueprint.
  • JEE Main Syllabus will consist of paper 1 and paper 2 syllabi, in which paper 1 will be asked for the B.Tech and paper 2 will be asked for B.Arch.
  • The paper 1 of JEE Mains syllabus will be of all theory topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. And the paper 2 of JEE Main syllabus consists of Mathematics, aptitude test and drawing test.
  • The JEE Main Paper 1
  • JEE Main paper-1 is conducted for B.Tech/BE,
  • It will include MCQ ( Multiple Choice Questions )
  • It will consist of 90 questions,
  • The paper-1 will include subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, Candidates can choose any language either Hindi or English while filling the application form,
  • The paper-1 can be done by online or offline,
  • Duration of the paper-1 will be of 3 hours.
  • There will be negative marks in JEE main where 1 mark is reduced for each wrong answer or multi responses, each correct response is given 4 marks, thus don’t try to answer without being confident about it.

  • The JEE Main Paper 2
  • The JEE Main Paper 2 of is conducted for architecture course ( B.Arch ),
  • It will include MCQ ( Multiple Choice Questions )
  • It will consist of 90 questions, out of which 30 questions from mathematics, 50 questions from aptitude test and 2 questions of drawing test,
  • The paper-2 of JEE exam includes subjects like Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing,
  • Candidates can choose any language either Hindi or English while filling the application form,
  • The paper-2 can be organized through online or offline,
  • The duration of the paper-2 will be of 3 hours.
  • There will be negative marks in JEE main where 1 mark is reduced for each wrong answer or multi responses, every correct answer is given 4 marks and 2 questions of the drawing will carry 70 marks, thus don’t try to answer without being confident about it.

  • It is said that not to refer a lot of books which may be led to confusion, so it is guided that to study one or two books and may refer other books for practising numerical.
  • It is recommended that you can begin with theory and later go to numerical, without attempting theory covering numerical is waste of time.
  • You can Spend the morning hours to the tough subject and later evening hours to the once which are more competitive.
  • Then in Afternoon times, when you are lazy try attempting numerical during that time, thus it will avoid wastage of time.
  • The plan should be in such a way where you cover main and easy once with less timing and spending more time on tough once.
  • Rather than trying to solve question completely, one can try to eliminate the options to derive the solution, where time gets saved and will be able to crack the JEE Main 2018 exam.
  • Remember more you solve and practice mock test series, you get to know where you are lacking behind, level of understanding and strengths, which will help you to increase your score in JEE.
