JEE Main 2019 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main 2019 Application Form

There are 4 steps in filling JEE Main 2019 application form:

  1. Complete the form by filling personal details.
  2. Upload your Photograph and Signature.
  3. Pay the fee.
  4. Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

The following tips will be useful in filling the JEE Main 2019 form smoothly:

  1. Fill the form through the official website for NTA JEE Main 2019. The form submission process is completely online including the payment of fee.
  2. Carefully go through the JEE Main 2019 Information Bulletin before proceeding.
  3. Start filling the form by going to the registration page.
  4. Take down the automatically generated application number.
  5. Fill the choices of examination city carefully.
  6. Your ID card (Aadhar, Passport, Ration Card etc.) details (especially number) are very important. Check twice before you finalize.
  7. Use special characters to make strong passwords.
  8. Check that you have filled the details correctly.
  9. Keep scanned copies of recent passport size photograph and signature. It would not be a bad idea to keep them on your email as well. Maximum image size allowed for uploading – Photograph (20-200 kb) and Signature (4-30 kb) in JPEG format.
  10. The Confirmation Page appears only when the fee has been successfully processed.
  11. NTA allows one time correction facility. The dates for online correction of details will be updated on the website. Keep checking for updates.

JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode:
      1. Paper I is Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
      2. Part I (Mathematics) and Part II (Aptitude) in Paper II are CBT only. Part III (Drawing) of Paper II is offline mode to be attempted on Drawing Sheet.
    • Allocation of Date and Shift is random
  • The Examination will be conducted in two shifts each day. Morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon shift 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • Medium of question paper will be English and Hindi at all exam centers, however those with examination centers in Gujarat and UTs of Daman and Diu, and Dadar and Nagar Haveli will have an additional option of Gujarati.
  • Detailed Examination Pattern for Paper I and Paper II
  • Paper I
        • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for correct answer. -1 for incorrect answer. 0 marks for questions not attempted or questions under review.
  • Merit List
    Scores in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be added to get NTA score. The Merit List will be based on NTA score.
  • Identical NTA Scores

These criteria in same order will be considered for preparing ranking list.

  4. Older candidates
  5. Same rank will be awarded after applying this procedure.
  • Paper II
        • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer, 0 marks for questions not attempted or questions under review in Part I and Part II of paper. In Part III there will be 2 questions of total 70 marks.
  • Merit List
    Merit List will be based on Total Marks of all candidates.
  • Identical NTA Scores
    These criteria in same order will be applicable for preparing ranking list.

JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria

There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2019. The candidate should have appeared in class XIIth examination in 2017 / 2018 or should be appearing in 2019. She / He should have passed / opted for atleast 5 subjects in class XIIth exam. The candidate should score atleast 75% (65% for SC/ST) for qualification through Center Seat Allocation Board, or be in top 20% percentile of State Board.  

JEE Main 2019 Counseling

JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2019 Counseling. Candidates will be able to fill the college and course preferences online after the declaration of result and merit list.

JEE Main 2019 Admit Card

The admit cards will be available online only. Helpline numbers would be provided to address cases of discrepancy.
